Girard-Perregaux was the first manufacturer to produce a commercial quartz analog movement with the GP350, followed by the first digital LED, then nicknamed Casquette.
This space watch of the seventies was not officially called Casquette, but collectors have nicknamed it by this name, which has since become part of the watchmaking language. A button enabled the display to be activated to avoid running out of battery. A single pressure for hours and minutes, a double pressure for day and date (or just for date in some models), a triple pressure for seconds.
