After the success of past auctions, the Numismatics department is back with a new and important event.
The next auction in collaboration between Cambi Aste and Crippa Numismatica to be held on May 14 and 15 presents a novelty: the department is offering, exclusively for Italian collectors, a selection of ancient Greek and Roman coins from old Italian collections (one in particular from the early 20th century) from Magna Graecia, Sicily and mainland Greece, from the Archaic period to the Roman period, which includes both the consular and imperial periods.
Alongside the selection of ancient Greek and Roman coins, the auction will also present a collection of very heterogeneous material selected for great quality, or for topics of current interest. Prominent among them is a collection of beautiful Italian silver shields, dating from the 17th to the 20th century.
There will also be a fine collection from the House of Savoy, with a series of coins covering the Kingdom of Sardinia from Victor Emmanuel I until the fall of the monarchy with Victor Emmanuel III.
